This is not an official prediction. Instead, it is an educational tool to visualise how an AMS election in Cornwall could look under certain scenarios.
The numbers here are a projection of the next general election based on a variation of proportional swing from 2024. Six constituencies are combined together to form three constituencies which operate under FPTP, with three further seats awarded proportionally to parties which were underrepresented on the constituencies. A real AMS election may combine Cornwall with parts of Devon to create the larger regional lists which exist in Scotland.
The results should not be taken as fact, in particular the final list seats are notoriously difficult to model due to small margins. There may also be local issues which impact results and swings can be irregular, the real boundaries that a post-PR Cornwall are unknown but this is a fair approximation.
